PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION - PROCESSING, STORAGE AND DESTRUCTION POLICY

 

1. INTRODUCTION

 

A. PURPOSE and SCOPE OF THE POLICY

 

As the data controller of SKC KARBON SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. ("SKC KARBON"), we attach great importance to the protection of personal data of our employees, employee candidates, interns, supplier officials, supplier employees, shareholders and partners, board members, visitors and other real persons with whom we are in contact.

 

           The main purpose of this Policy is to provide transparency by informing the administrative and technical measures taken for the processing and protection of personal data obtained by SKC Karbon during its activities and the methods followed for the processing of personal data in line with the principles mentioned in the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and the relevant legislation, and the relevant persons who have data regarding this whole process. 

 

            This policy applies to all real persons who are subject to data processing activities by SKC Karbon, including but not limited to our employees, employee candidates, interns, supplier officials, supplier employees, shareholders and partners, members of the board of directors, visitors and the numbers we are in contact with. 

 

B. DEFINITIONS

 

The important definitions used in this policy of SKC Karbon are given below. 

 

SKC Karbon : SKC Karbon Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. 

 

Explicit consent : Consent to be informed and freely given in relation to a particular matter.

 

Anonymization : Making personal data impossible to be associated with an identified or identifiable natural person under any circumstances, even by matching with other data. 

 

Employee : SKC Karbon personnel 

 

Employee candidate : A person who has applied for a job at SKC Karbon. 

 

Intern : A person undergoing an internship at SKC Karbon

 

Supplier : A natural person who provides services or goods to SKC Karbon on a contractual basis

 

Personal data : Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

 

Personal data subject (data subject): The natural person whose personal data is processed.

 

Sensitive personal data : Data relating to race, ethnic origin, political opinion, philosophical belief, religious sect or other beliefs, appearance and dress, membership to associations, foundations or trade unions, health, sexual life, criminal conviction and security measures, and biometric and genetic data

 

Processing of personal data : Any operation performed on personal data such as obtaining, recording, storing, storing, changing, rearranging, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying or preventing the use of personal data by fully or partially automatic means or by non-automatic means provided that it is part of any data recording system

 

Personal data processor : A natural or legal person who processes personal data on behalf of the data controller based on the authorization granted by the data controller 

 

Personal data controller : The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for the establishment and management of the data recording system.

 

KVK Law : Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data. 

 

KVK Board : Personal Data Protection Board

 

KVK Institution : Personal Data Protection Authority

2. OUR OBLIGATION OF DISCLOSURE TO INTERESTED PERSONS

 

While SKC Karbon, as the data controller, collects personal data in line with legitimate and lawful personal data processing purposes, based on Article 10 of Law No. 6698,

 

- Information regarding our trade name as the data controller,

 

- The purpose for which personal data will be processed,

 

- To whom and for what purpose the processed personal data can be transferred,

 

- We act with the awareness of our obligation to enlighten personal data owners about our personal data collection methods and legal reasons and the rights of the person concerned arising from the Personal Data legislation. 

 

Customer disclosure text and application form have also been published on our website together with this policy. 

 

As SKC Karbon; we attach importance to the clear, understandable and easy accessibility of our obligation to inform the relevant persons. In this context, Disclosure texts have been placed in areas that visitors can see in the company premises. In addition, we fulfill our disclosure obligation through our website and by means of relevant person information texts.
